A Practical Way to Make Invisibility Cloaks

It's the stuff of science fiction but engineers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, have developed a new printing method to begin fabricating invisibility cloaks and superlenses.

An Oregon native, Barb graduated from the University of Oregon’s Lundquist School of Business in 1980 and continued to work for Fred Meyer Inc. where she had worked through high school and college. During the next 10 years, working in Eugene, Albany, Salem, Gresham, and Tualatin, she rose through the Fred Meyer ranks to Store Director. After purchasing Sir Speedy Printing in 1988, Barb joined the company full time in 1990. Owning a business had been a goal for Barb and Nick and the printing business has been gratifying on both a personal and professional level for the past 21 years.
